As one of two associate editors I helped to identify and collect significant projects throughout the world that aptly characterizes the complexity of music and its role in educative endeavors. This project culminated in a Music in Education Compendium that was presented to the 2010 UN General Assembly that features initiatives using Music as a Natural Resource in programs and projects in over 32 countries – including among others, Botswana, New Guinea, Afghanistan, Palestine, Israel, Cyprus, Brazil, Spain, New Zealand, Mexico, Canada, Argentina, Ireland, Australia, Austria, US and the UK.
This is an ongoing project with a new compendium due out Fall 2011.
