This was an amazing term!
And a gift to me to be able to teach this class once again. In the 4 years that I have not taught this, and now being in Canada, anti-colonizing pedagogies and inclusion writ large, were very much a part of our discussions.
We were able to bring in parents and children every Wednesday, thus creating a very meaningful and musical learning environment. Unfortunately, the term was cut short by Covid19 but the days we had together were wonderful! We put together the following video as a remembrance of our time together!

One of the final assignments was to teach a canon to someone and to write out and sing 3 ostinato patterns. Lindsay and her sister are just a joy to watch. But when you get to the end and hear Lindsay singing the melody with the tree ostinato patterns, oh my gosh!
Jillian and her roommate! Great fun, beautiful arrangement, and fluid teaching (among the joy and laughter)
Amanda carefully teaching and laying out her ostinato patterns - without speaking!
